How Is the PTO Funded?
The TCES PTO is primarily funded through four sources:
- PTO Membership Dues
- Titan Fun Run, powered by Boosterthon
- PTO Events & Fundraisers - including Fall Fest, Spirit Store, Spirit Rock, Spirit Nights, Box Tops, Titan Ice, and more
- Corporate Sponsors & Advertisers - through sponsorships on our website and at PTO and school events
Every dollar raised helps us support the students, teachers, staff, and programs at Tega Cay Elementary.
How Are PTO Funds Spent?
Most funds raised during the school year are invested back into TCES that same year. A small reserve is typically maintained for start-up expenses for the following school year. Funds may also be designated for larger, multi-year projects when approved by the general membership.
The PTO Executive Board works closely with TCES administration, teachers, and staff to identify the school's greatest needs and develop a wish list of items and projects that will have a meaningful impact on our students and school community. Based on available funds, priorities are discussed and voted on, with the PTO budget and funding decisions shared at General Meetings.
PTO funds also support school events, student programs, committee needs, teacher and staff appreciation, classroom and school resources, and other initiatives that enrich the TCES experience.
