Co-President - Lisa Kennedy

 

 

I am so excited to serve my first year as your PTO President.  My husband, Billy, and I have two wonderful children; Liam (5th) and Ava (3rd). I have a background in Education and love giving back to the community.  In the past, I have served as a room parent for each of my children’s classrooms, Room Parent Coordinator, parent representative for the School Improvement Council and No Place for Hate Committee, and 5th Grade Promotion Chair. I cannot wait to get to know all of you this year and hear your ideas on how we can continue to make Tega Cay Elementary a wonderful school. 

 

 

Co-President - Carrie Whiteside

 

 

 

Hello! This is my second year serving as the PTO President. In previous years I served as the Holiday Market Committee Chair. I am originally from Wilmington, NC. I received my Bachelor degrees from UNC in English and Communication Studies and my Master degree in Higher Education Administration from UNCG and I have worked at Winthrop University in various roles. My husband, Joel, and I have two children. Our daughter, Reid, is in 4th grade at TCES, and our son, Hart, is in 2nd grade.

I'm thrilled to be a part of the TCES PTO Board for the 2023-2024 school year! My background is in higher education, but my true passion is giving back to our community. My kids are my World and so what better way to mesh those two things together than being part of the PTO! I have a fifth grader, Gavin, and a third grader, Peyton. They were pretty excited when they found out they may occasionally see me at the school this year. I can't wait to serve our students and staff with fundraisers and events that will help to give them the resources they need to set them up for success!

Hi! My husband, Dave and I have 2 boys Dylan (5th grade) and Maxwell (3rd grade).  Currently I am a stay-at-home mom.  I love being at the school and involved in any way I can! In my spare time I enjoy photography and beaches, preferably in unison.

During the Pandemic, my husband and I moved our family of three from Los Angeles to Tega Cay in search of better schools, a more nourishing environment for our daughter to grow up in, and an overall higher quality of life—and we’ve found all these here. We love our new neighborhood, our beautiful city, the surrounding nature, and Tega Cay’s strong sense of community. And Avery loves her teachers and her school. I want to get involved and contribute my skills and knowledge to make our school and our city even better!

Hi! This is my second year on the Board, I also served as the Spring Fling, Fall Fest & Movie Night Committee Chairs. My husband, Kevin and I have three children; Mackenzie (3rd grade), Jack (1st grade) & Henry (2 1/2 years old). We moved here from Steele Creek 3 years ago and have loved every part of this Community. I'm a stay-at-home mom and spend most of my time volunteering or looking for the next activity to drag my kids to! I'm originally from Phoenix, AZ and went to Belmont Abbey for my undergraduate degrees and Winthrop for my masters in Sports Management. I'm looking forward to being your Secretary this year!
